The next evolution of FMT education is here.

Take a course anytime, anywhere on the new FMT+ platform.

Functional Movement Training (FMT) Certification courses are led by industry leading experts in movement assessment and therapy. FMT courses present a revolutionary way of thinking about how we move and how we recover from injury.

They integrate innovative mobility and stability strategies, along with a movement-based; practical kinesiology taping framework – to deliver RESULTS.

The FMT Series courses are based on the following concepts:

  1. Movement Pyramid – FMT Courses incorporate movement screening and rescreening as the basis for evaluating the quality of human movement before and after the techniques taught in the course.
  2. Evidence Informed – FMT Courses are built around the available scientific literature and clinical expertise of our instructors and certified healthcare and fitness professionals.
  3. Focus on Fascia – FMT Courses have a longitudinal muscle chain approach to understanding movement dysfunction and correction.
  4. Movement is the key to Learning – FMT Courses are action packed, so come prepared to be MOVED!

The FMT Series certification courses are intended for healthcare professionals, therapists and trainers. CEUs may be offered for DC, ATC, PT, OT, LMT, DVM and personal trainers – depending on location and class type.

Kinesiology Taping Certifications

FMT Basic

Kinesiology Taping Certification

FMT Basic Kinesiology Taping Certification introduces the evidence based approach to taping for discomfort*, enhancing fluid dynamics, posture, nerve entrapment and scars. FMT Basic is an evidence-informed kinesiology taping course that redefines our understanding of the effects of elastic therapeutic taping on discomfort* mitigation, circulation and proprioception. Learn more about FMT Basic and view classes in your area!

FMT Advanced

Kinesiology Taping Certification

FMT Advanced Kinesiology Taping Certification expands on the concepts taught in FMT BASIC  and explores enhancing human movement and performance via functional taping methods (movement based). The anatomy and physiology of myofascial lines are covered. Movement screening is used to determine dysfunction in specific anatomical planes of motion and how to apply tape in a manner that improves movement and function. Learn more about FMT Advanced and view classes in your area!

IASTM & Tool Certifications

FMT Blades

IASTM Certification

FMT Blades IASTM Certification will review screening dysfunctional movement patterns and utilizing soft tissue tools to improve patient treatment with IASTM. The anatomy, physiology and MOST IMPORTANTLY the neurology of myofascial soft tissue work is covered, along with supporting research. IASTM intervention strategies will also be combined with kinesiology taping and corrective exercise techniques to deliver a comprehensive approach to patient care. Learn more about FMT Blades and view classes in your area!

FMT Blades Advanced

IASTM Certification

FMT Blades Advanced IASTM Certification introduces the concept of skin/fascial/nerve gliding and neuro-sensory discomfort* modulation via Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization. The tools may be hard-edged, but the techniques don’t need to be aggressive to deliver superior patient and client outcomes. The anatomy, physiology and neurology of myofascial soft tissue work is covered, along with a review of the concept of interlayer connective tissue gliding using a rubber sleeve for added tissue traction.  FMT Blades Advanced also addresses discomfort* modulation via specific mechano-reception stimulation using the novel hair comb attachment. Learn more about FMT Blades Advanced and view classes in your area!

FMT RockFloss

Compression Band Certification

FMT RockFloss Certification introduces the concept of skin/fascial/nerve gliding to help reduce tissue swelling, improve movement and modulate discomfort* with the use of ‘compression band floss’.This course will cover the anatomy, physiology and neurology of the effects of compression band flossing on connective tissue gliding, tissue traction and tissue compression.
Interventions with compression band floss (including direction and pressure concepts) will be reviewed and integrated into current rehabilitative concepts. Learn more about FMT RockFloss and view classes in your area!

FMT RockPods

Cupping Certification

FMT RockPods Certification introduces the concept of skin/fascial decompression to help improve tissue mobility, improve movement and modulate discomfort* with the use of myofascial cups. This course will cover the anatomy, physiology and neurology of the effects of myofascial cupping on connective tissue gliding, tissue traction and tissue decompression. Interventions with cupping (RockPods) will be reviewed based on the literature and integrated into current rehabilitative concepts. Learn more about FMT RockPods and view classes in your area!

Specialized Certifications

FMT Movement Specialist

Movement Assessment Certification

The “FMT Movement Specialist” Certification will provide attendees an integrated strategy for movement assessment, correction and programming. This course addresses multiple considerations that affect our ability to move including the psychological, neurological, motor, connective tissue systems, environment and personalities of our patients and clients.

Movement efficiency and variability will be emphasized as key components to assessment and programming goals. Learn more about FMT Movement Specialist and view classes in your area!

FMT Vibration Specialist

Vibration tools Certification

FMT Vibration Specialist course amalgamates manual therapy and vibration science to create simple and effective non-opioid, neuro-musculoskeletal (NMSK) treatment and self-care programs for the manual and movement therapist as well as the athlete.

This course is an evidence-informed rehabilitation program that redefines our understanding of the effects of vibration in conjunction with traditional manual therapies (myofascial cupping, local/targeted massage) on pain mitigation, injury recovery/prevention and movement. Learn more about FMT Vibration Specialist and view classes in your area!

FMT Pediatric

Kinesiology Taping Certification

This course introduces the concept of movement therapy and enhancement via functional taping methods with populations who require special circumstances.  The populations include geriatric, pediatric and pregnant patient populations.

The course includes a review of the current literature supporting the theory of kinesiology taping for the purposes of rehabilitation, edema/swelling management, neuropathic discomfort*, scar and postural management for these populations. FMT Geriatric

We base our training & education on four key principals

Movement Pyramid

All courses incorporate screening  movement as the basis for making changes with the techniques taught in the course.

Evidence Informed

We only promote what has been clinically proven. The insert-to-origin method is interesting but the science does not back it up. What has been proven is that kinesiology tape helps promote lymphatic flow.

Fascia

Focus on Fascia with a longitudinal muscle chain approach to understanding movement. Movement and faults must be understood as part of a system.

Fun & Discovery

We don’t do anything like everyone else. We want our courses to be fun. When you’re having fun, you’re engaged – and when you’re engaged, you learn.
